Beartooth Highway Travel Update
Possible 30 minutes delays will occur all week including the weekend (Friday through Sunday) allowing the contractor to complete the necessary work while weather is favorable.
Please note:
WINTER ROAD CLOSURE: The Beartooth Highway Pass is closed from Long Lake, approximately 17 miles east of the Hwy 296 intersection, to the lower gate, just south of Red Lodge. Travel between Cooke City and Red Lodge using Hwy 296 will be possible until early November. Please check the Montana Department of Transportation website for the most up to date information.
